Surviving the Scorching Heat

Deserts are some of the harshest environments on Earth, yet many animals have evolved incredible adaptations to survive. Camels store fat in their humps for energy and hydration, while fennec foxes have large ears that help dissipate heat.

Other desert dwellers, like the sidewinder snake, move in unique ways to avoid scorching sand, while the kangaroo rat can survive without drinking water at all. These animals prove that life can flourish even in the most extreme conditions.
