This is an old problem with a new twist.
A poor farmer is going to market with his faithful but hungry dog, two plump geese to sell, and three bags of corn. The farmer knows that unless he is right there, the dog will eat a goose or the goose will eat some of the corn. Travelling carefully, he avoids trouble until he comes to a small river which he must ferry across. The ferry (actually a creaky old rowboat) is in such bad shape, he decides it will only hold him and any two of the six things he has with him.
How can he get all of his possessions to market safely, and uneaten?
Your not allowed to think laterally, you can't say the dog has been taught to swim, and you can't say the geese will swim and/or fly across.
You are allowed to cross and then take something that you took to the other side back to the first side.

Guess I blew it, but after considering I would take the dog first, return for the geese and then the corn.

On the first trip across the river, you take the two geese, leaving the dog and the 3 bags of corn.
On the second trip across, you take the dog and a bag of corn across, but then take the two geese back to the other side.
On the third trip across, you take the other two bags of corn.
On the final trip you take the two geese back.

i agree with Zakassis, but i also agree with Aries and would look for another route, cause the boat just don't sound stable to me.

Zakassis was right, Aries, you can't think Laterally on this one, including that and also, If you took the dog first, you would have the Geese and the corn without you-The geese would eat the corn.
